Britannia Village brings new life to the historic company mining town of Britannia Beach, with a vibrant collection of shops, restaurants, and services set within beautifully restored buildings up to a century old.

The opening of the commercial village marks the final step in the decades-long effort to reclaim and renew the town of Britannia Beach. It began with an innovative project to clean runoff from what was once the largest copper mine in North America. It continued with the Macdonald Group’s development of a thriving residential community, featuring 197 single-family homes and 73 townhomes, and now concludes with the addition of 10 commercial and amenity buildings.

Britannia Village features a general store, pub, bakery, restaurant, daycare, and community hall housed in the original mine town buildings—each carefully restored and upgraded, creating a one-of-a-kind destination on the Sea to Sky. The commercial village is owned and managed by the Macdonald Group.
